Raphael Michel

Raphael is Co-Founder & CEO of Onera Health, a deep health tech company focused on improving chronic disease management via breakthrough sleep diagnostics and monitoring. Formerly, Raphael was Founder & CEO of Eargo, an industry-changing, award-winning company that designs and markets the world’s smallest rechargeable hearing devices directly to the consumer. That breakthrough garnered many accolades, including TIME Magazine’s “50 Best Inventions” and Popular Science’s “Best of What’s New.”
Prior to founding Eargo, he held senior strategic marketing and business development positions at Hansen Medical, a medical robotics company acquired by Auris Surgical, itself acquired by J&J. Prior to Hansen Medical, he was the first employee and Head of R&D at Vessix Vascular, a renal denervation company acquired by Boston Scientific.
Raphael received advanced training in Engineering, Business, and Management, with an undergraduate degree from École Polytechnique in France, a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Raphael holds over 70 patents, is a Fundraising Architect & Mentor for StartX, and served as a Technology Pioneer for the World Economic Forum.
